Submitted by administrator on Sat, 01/28/2012 - 17:11The time of the day spent watching a show as entertaining as The Simpsons is always worth looking forward to, after a hard day of work. But just imagine how guilty you would feel, if you altogether missed a day of work, and spent the whole day watching The Simpsons!
Hold on!
What if you got paid for doing that?
Sounds crazy?
Well, then “crazy” is what’s going to happen, as the show gives one lucky viewer a chance to do just that!
This comes as a part of the special Simpsons view-a-thon, which is a unique idea conjured by its producers, to celebrate the 500th episode of the show.
The event, scheduled to be held on 8th February, at the Hollywood & Highland complex in Los Angeles, will invite fans to watch 500 back-to-back episodes of the show, in a bid to break the current Guinness World Record of the longest continuous television watching.
The current record time for the category is 86 hours, 6 minutes and 41 seconds, which will be by far broken by whoever manages to fulfill the dramatic challenge.
As thousands gather at the venue to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the show, one lucky one, who manages to hang on till the end, will take home $10,500, along with some exciting merchandise of The Simpsons, part of which has been exclusively designed for the 500th episode!
Considering how entertaining the show is, the challenge sounds more like a party than a punishment, and is sure to etch a mark in the history of television.
It is overwhelming to imagine that every single episode of the show that has ever been made will be aired right there, giving the show’s fans a chance to revisit old episodes that made them laugh, and witness how the show has grown so far.
The fact that it will bring together an entire community of Simpsons-loving fans only makes it more exciting!
Whether or not you manage to be a part of the event, be sure to watch the 500th episode of the Simpsons online right after it airs. This is something that no television buff can afford to miss!

Sony Pictures Punishes Simpsons Producer!
Submitted by administrator on Mon, 12/19/2011 - 13:05The production houses back in Hollywood, are actually heading on with their cost cutting plans, as 2011 nears its end.
I mean, whatever we might have lately heard about plans being tailored out by production houses to teach notoriously expensive producers a lesson of their life, is so very true.
Listen to this - The Simpsons, a show par excellence (as a download would let you experience and realize) had James L. Brooks, as a developer and an executive producer.
He is said to be one of the brains behind one of the most popular animated series on national television, Simpsons.
Diving into a bit of retrospect - it all happened, while he was producing The Tracey Ullman Show, back in the year 1987. Matt Groening, the legendary cartoonist, joined hands with him, for a new pair of shorts for his show.
This, instead, led to the creation of The Simpsons in 1989.
But we guess, those were the best days of Brook’s life.
At present, things around appear rather gloomy for this writer-director, who has a record for winning 20 of his 47 Emmy nominations.
Sony Pictures has decided against renewing their deal with Brooks, following the bombing of his latest venture, How Do You Know at the box-office. They couldn’t carry on with Brooks, any further, you know.
This film, that couldn’t bring back 40 percent of the studio’s $120 million investment, might have been the real reason for their decision to part ways with James L. Brooks.
His reputation as a director, writer and producer was huge; the very reason for Sony Pictures to have continued with him till now.
I mean, he has delivered promising films like Jerry Maguire and I’ll Do Anything under their banner, and a lot more, but now that we know the truth, we better accept it and move on.
By the way, Brooks will still be maintaining his development fund with the studio, so there is still that glimmer of hope!
The Simpsons is Still Rising!
Submitted by administrator on Thu, 12/01/2011 - 16:56Of all the oldest surviving animated series, the one I love the most, is the American lifestyle smitten middle class’ satirical parody – The Simpsons.
The series has given an unbelievable number of episodes till now, making it reach almost half a millennium.
Bravo!
Commencing in the year 1989, the series indeed has come a long way, and with consistent novel inputs in the situations, leading to humor and sarcasm as well, the animated show has won over many hearts.
The creator of the series, Matt Groening, has done a commendable job; we all must agree to this!
Because of the tremendous inputs of the creators and the production team of the series, we are able to watch such a wonderful show on our television screens today.
Presently The Simpsons is running in its 23rd season, without losing grip of its spinal humor quotient.
And you know what!
The highlighting feature of this situational comedy series is not only the fact that it has been credited as the longest running sitcom on American television, but also the longest running animated and scripted primetime series too.
I wonder if it is the same online!
OMG!
You’ve got to thank me now, for sharing this wonderful information with you, and making you enlightened.
(Chuckle!)
The Simpsons, time and again, has been introducing guest stars on the series, to add a tangy touch to the show, and making it all the more worthwhile.
Does my aforementioned statement also suggest that without the guest stars, the series wouldn’t have made sense?
Oops!
If you happen to take it this way, then I would have to ask you to open up your minds!
After all, you don’t really need someone’s directions to believe what is true, and what’s not. You all are pragmatic in your own capacity to ascertain how the show is worthy.
Adding another name to the list of guests, who have already appeared on the show, the show is going to introduce to its audience, yet another guest member, who is an author named Neil Richard Gaiman.
Neil will also give his voice, for the character depicting him.
One thing I know for sure is that this is one show you can never get bored of!
Am I right?
Pop Sensation To Set Simpsons Ablaze!
Submitted by administrator on Fri, 11/25/2011 - 14:58The Simpsons make the masses go gaga every time a new episode arrives, but the fact that Simpsons series itself would go gaga must surely be baffling you.
Well, The Simpsons will go gaga because the feisty singer, Lady Gaga is on her way to make an appearance in the animation series!
Yes, the same Gaga who makes the aged ones scorn and the young ones rejoice.
Lady Gaga will make an appearance in season 23 of the show and guess who she will be portraying in the series?
No guesses?
Ok, I will tell you.
She will be portraying herself!
The creative men of The Simpsons have suggested that she will make an entry in Springfield to make Lisa smile, but the task would be pretty difficult to accomplish.
She would be completely charged up in the episode; she would carry the message of joy and positive outlook towards life!
Lady Gaga recently reflected that being a part of an animated series made her flinch and it was not one of the easiest things she has ever tried.
She added that lending voice to a character is not the field she is in, and so, she had to work extremely hard to give her best to The Simpsons.
Well, Gaga, I am sure when the episode arrives, people will find your work worth complimenting.
Want some more insight into her character?
Here it is, folks….
She would reach Springfield riding a Gaga Express train and she would even give a kiss to Marge!
Now, I bet you would not have guessed that.
The singer added that her father is extremely happy to see her donning an animated avatar!
Well, Gaga, we all are and can’t wait any longer to see in your new avatar. But I can assure that the bosses of the show will be the happiest lot, as your performance will attract a massive ‘fan-count download’ for the ever-engaging The Simpsons!
Homer on a Skateboard!
Submitted by administrator on Mon, 09/05/2011 - 18:47The sight of Homer on a skateboard will surely give a heart attack to many in the town of Springfield, as Homer, even without a skateboard, is quite lethal!
But the people of Springfield are safe for now, because he would not be boarding on the city streets where he resides with his dysfunctional family.
Homer, if news is to be believed, will be on a skateboard in US!
Believe it or not, the news is true and he would not be the only one!
His entire family would be accompanying him!
Well, you can stop scratching your head and relax, as they would not be coming with skateboards in your neighborhood.
They would be on the skateboard (quite literally) as NHS, a company that deals in skateboards, is ready with skateboards based on the Simpson’s family.
But this didn’t come up just like that.
It took a good number of meetings and groundwork, and only after working closely with 20th Century Fox was the company able to come out with the product!
An official from NHS said that the idea was always there with Fox but the company was waiting for someone who could take the work on in the best way.
Both the companies have worked closely to bring the product.
Along with the designs from NHS, Fox made its share of contributions to the project, too.
Well, this would surely bring cheers among the fraternities from our young age battalion (kids, precisely) and I think my kid would keep tugging my shirt until I get him one!
I think it would have been better if they had come up with some wallpapers or something.
I mean I would have made the download free of cost and saved the dollars but I think The Simpsons will cost me dearly this time!
Homer on a skateboard is surely not something parents will like! Parents?
For Hank Azaria, The Simpsons is Security!
Submitted by administrator on Fri, 08/12/2011 - 10:01Before going for the dreams and aspirations, there is one tiny thing one needs to take care of.
No, it is not the laundry that has not been washed since a month now!
It’s the tummy that growls after every six hours, to be fed!
Well, the time can vary with the girls who literally eat nothing nowadays, but, at the end of the day, one needs something to satiate the demands of the rats jumping around in the stomach.
Only after that, one can chase the dreams and the stars.
For Hank Azaria, The Simpsons provides the security of bread and butter!
He brings to life many characters in the hilarious television series, which have been tickling the masses from a long time. Moe Szyslak, Police Chief Wiggum and Comic Book Guy are the prominent ones.
The security gives him the privilege to explore his roles and get his hands into other projects.
Recently, he became a part of another animation project and it is being reported that he is having quite a hard time trying to complete the work. Apparently, he was rained with eggs and was told to wear a lot of makeup.
What was the solution he found to that?
Got rid of his hair!
Hank, that’s too much for a single thing, but we know you give your 200 percent to everything you do!
Well, you would also know about the 200 percent, if you will watch Simpsons offline or online!
At least you don’t have to worry about your bread and butter, as The Simpsons is destined to go on forever, while people like me have to do part time mopping, to get the butter on my bread!
You are one lucky man, Hank!
Prince William loves Homer but Didnt Have Time to Make a Visit!
Submitted by administrator on Fri, 07/22/2011 - 15:23Homer, probably, doesn’t belong to the fraternity which likes to invite people over, as it only means extra dishes to clean, and mindless chatter from irritating people. But when he heard that Prince William had a liking for him and grew up watching him, he decided to pen down a few lines to invite the royal blood over during his visit to America.
Well, it was not actually Homer who extended the invitation. It came from the minds which gave birth to him and his unusual antics.
Prince William and his better half were sent a note, which was signed by Homer Simpson himself, inviting them to an important event.
But much to the disappointment of Homer, the young guns of the royal family were not in a situation to entertain the request as they were already buried under a host of stately engagements.
The come-over episode wrapped up after some comments from the bosses of the show but things didn’t come to an end at this.
The letter is roaming the unending boulevards of internet and is attracting a lot of download. Now, the thing which has caught the fancy of the masses is the unusual and witty piece of work created by Simpsons fraternity.
The letter takes a dig at the culture of the two countries and makes contrasts between their eating habits and folklores.
The dishy Kardashians also make an appearance in the rib-tickling scrap of paper.
Well, with all due respect, I would like to leave a comment on the Highness’ decision, if he gives me the permission.
I think we can take the permission later on as I am running out of time!
Prince William, I think that coming to America and not respecting a peaceful call is a course of action that you should avoid in the future.
I mean, Homer was willing even to tie Bart in the basement, for god’s sake!
Well, you missed the train. So, no need to repent.
Anyway, have a good tour!
Lisa Simpson Reveals A Truth About The Simpsons After 20 Years!
Submitted by administrator on Mon, 07/11/2011 - 11:36Yeardley Smith tells us about a secret that had no intention of coming out ever!

And it isn’t a secret that took place some time ago, or a year back, or even a few years back! The thing that she recently told us about, dates back to the time when our favorite animated show The Simpsons had just hit us like a storm.
It goes back 20 years in time!
If you could recall the episode, Stark Raving Dad, season 3’s first segment, then that’s the one Yeardley is talking about. That episode had a singer singing Happy Birthday Lisa. Fans all over the world know the singer as Michael Jackson, which he was, or which he would have been, had Sony allowed him to sing the song!
So does she mean that the singer wasn’t Michael Jackson?
That’s right! The singer was picked by Jackson himself, and it was the great impersonator Kipp Lennon, whose voice we actually heard in the episode.
The thing that surprises me is that no one actually talked about it all this time, not even… well, no one.
It’s pretty understandable that Jackson couldn’t have talked about it for the obvious reasons of being in a contract with Sony. And the stars from Simpsons thought it best to keep the thing under wraps, so that Jackson’s contract isn’t jeopardized.
Either which way, it feels good that we first loved that song (and the episode), thinking it’s Jackson performing, and now it gives the whole thing a new and exciting look as something so perplexing remained under the cloak for 20 years.
Well – I have to say this – if you haven’t seen that episode, download and see it; Simpsons, after all, does not have a single episode that you can’t check back into later, and not feel happy about.
Kelsey Grammer: I Keep Son, You Keep Daughter!
Submitted by administrator on Wed, 07/06/2011 - 18:25Both, in any case, will come around to be reunited, for children can barely understand what goes on in the minds of their parents. It could be anytime when they are coerced to choose from their father and mother, only Kelsey didn’t think it was required in his case!

We know him from his various on-screen projections, but the one we seem to have talked about a lot is Sideshow Bob from The Simpsons. He was an evil genius there, and he is evil and everything but a genius here.
He has taken Jude, his 6-year-old son, along with him to Chicago, and has left Mason behind. Mason is his 9-year-old daughter. It doesn’t put the kids in a comfortable position; instead, it makes things even worse for them.
Two innocents kids, separated because their parents couldn’t keep their senses in check – it’s awful!
The more Kelsey is trying to work out the things, the more harrowing they are turning out to be. His wife Camille played it cool by sending him a legal letter, which wouldn’t have appeared if Kelsey had not proposed such course of action.
The letter only asserted what Kelsey had already proposed.
We can never be on the right platform to comment which side is guilty – and we don’t want to! It’s difficult to fathom such actions from people so good at something – their work. If you watch episodes of The Simpsons, which are available online, you would see that even though Kelsey plays an evil character, he does it in style that makes us look at him with reverence!
What reverence!
Just take care of your kids, Mr. & Mrs. Grammer!
The Simpsons Apology!
Submitted by administrator on Sat, 05/28/2011 - 17:30It used to be a common scene in the past wherein the teachers would ask the students to write a hundred or so times that they won’t repeat the mistake they had just committed. The Simpsons seem to have gone back to those years, but with a slight change in plan: the teacher didn’t ask them to!

When “Homer Scissorhands” played itself out, the rolling credits spelled the guest star as Kristen Schall. What’s wrong with that? Nothing, just the fact that the respected guest spells her name as Kristen Schaal!
Fans noticed; their fingers tweeted; Kristen became aware; she dismissed the incident – case closed!
But, in that series of events, something else happened: The Simpsons noticed the tweets as well! And in comes Bart in “500 Keys”, standing in front of the chalkboard, writing the punishment numerous times on the board, that his teacher Ms. Kristen Schall never asked him to!
The Simpsons continues to build upon the legacy, and does hardly so much as stop to earn the tag of being ‘ordinary’ or ‘nothing unusual’. The writers get time to produce fun quotes, but they are funnier when faced with an impromptu situation.
Ms. Schall responded very warmly through her tweet and appreciated the apology that came from The Simpsons, going so far as commenting that no one has ever been this nice to her!
It doesn’t come up as a surprise that the Simpsons apologized, but that they did it so quickly and, again, so humorously, that comes as a surprise! Or, does it? The show is great, and so is the news related to it. Never have I heard anyone talk anything ordinary about Simpsons.
If you say you don’t constantly download the episodes of Simpsons, then that too would be news in itself. But what would be the point in creating such news, anyway?
