The season 17 of ‘The Simpsons’ premiered on September 11, 2005 and it was on air till May 21, 2006. This season of the series had twenty two episodes in it. Every year FOX used to delay the premieres of its shows to November because of the Major League Baseball games that were aired on the network during September and October, but The Simpsons, Season 17, broke this tradition of the FOX.
During the telecast of this season, seven episodes from the previous seasons were aired. Three new writers Patric Verrone, Daniel Chun and Stephane Gillis were added to the list of writers during this season. The episode named “The Seemingly Never-Ending Story” won an Emmy award for Outstanding Animated Program. Also Kelsey Grammer received the Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance for “The Italian Bob”.
